Floyd is a graduate of Tarleton State University with a degree in Business and is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker associated with Brooks Real Estate in Stephenville. He grew up in Comanche County where his family was involved in the farming and ranching business. Floyd was married in 1983; he and his wife Julia reside in Erath County and have two children. Their son attends Tarleton State University and their daughter is attending The University of Texas S.A. Medical School. Julia is a C.P.A. in Stephenville and partial owner of the Stokes & Edwards C.P.A. Firm. The entire family enjoys hunting, fishing or just about anything they can do together outdoors. Floyd and Julia are active members of their local church.
